Finally a lan competition held in a very long, you could say we were too damn hungry for one. Sunday morning, pulling oneself from the bed, trying to get to the scene on time, armed with our keyboards and mouse- pretty much a nostalgic feeling.

Ok snap. Settings for eswc national qualifiers was at HIGH cyber cafe(probably one of the best lans in sg). We won the online qualifiers so we were seeded into top 8 Lan qualifiers. I’ll give a brief description on our 3 games.

Nothing drastic happened in this game, just some hiccups in the initial lane. But as soon as we started our pressure, we had taken the game into our full control, ending the game early.

Played a farmer/catcher approach towards this game- work out well. One of those type of games where u get your heroes buffed up by mass catching. Game pretty much ended effortlessly when opponents accidentally got 3 of their main heroes caught.

I knew their hero lineup wasn’t very strong upon looking at it, but never did i knew it was so damn irritating. Tried to play our usual tower games with our opponents. This is the type of game whereby you are clearly dominating, but unable to engage properly. Thus making both sides on a stalemate. I still vividly remember their draft, it was wl treant sf potm es. As an engager that game(mag), it wasnt that enjoyable. Having to take into consideration that they have 3 other engager whenever i want to jump one. But still, we manage to wipe during the later part of the game and took the game evantually.

Anyway, great job to my teammates and those teams out there for putting up a nice fight this competition. And ppl out there, do support us for eswc finals, we will prove ourselves to be a force to reckon with! -Mike

CAPL awards night on the 30th May was a success! Receiving 4 awards, we were naturally quite happy. Hy, mike and me received the dream team award alongside WaN and alan from xqR. I also received the best assassin award for having the most kills!

Buffet was served after the prize ceremony and speeches from the organizers. The food was good and we even received free tickets for the show Narnia. All in all, the capl awards night was a huge success and we thank compaq and amd for hosting such an event.

The second time we have ever won KS after 1 whole year…

It was one hell of a day, 32 teams, 5 games to be played. It was very tiring indeed, and I wouldn’t want to go too deep into the match reports except for the semi-finals and finals. We were actually quite demoralized after playing our semi-finals and were worried about going against KS the next round. In the semis, we lacked communication and didn’t play as well as we should have(partly cuz of the remake) and it was a really boring game. We had alot of killing power, but our heroes were too paper to rush in their base and kill them without suffering heavy casualties. This resulted in what we hated most, a farming game. I guess we did what we were supposed to do even if it was boring, and the mood of the game really made us quite worried about the next game. If our communication and our spirits were like this, there’s no way we are gonna beat KS, that’s what I thought at that point of time.

Well, so the drafting commenced, and this time, we managed to get a draft we like alot!
Zenith(Potm ES, Necrolyte, TS Skeleton) || KS(Thd Centaur, Qop, Lina RK)
Mainly mass stunners, 2 hexers, good lane control, and sufficient late gamers. Well, about the mood, it totally changed after we heard roars of firstblood, and killings going on very early into the game. I haven’t really watched the game, but I heard the TS Skele were owning the Lina RK and many kills were landed at bottom lane. The score was like, 9-0 at first, and we had full confidence on winning the game seeing that all our carries are farming up decently. I wouldn’t go into much detail, but I felt we were playing better than usual, maybe cause of the new lineup, or maybe cause of the morale boost from the early killings - I wouldn’t know. But I must commend yamateh on farming and leveling up really fast with his Qop despite an early 2 deaths if I’m not wrong. Well, but I guess this isn’t the strength of their full team considering one of their main players, papaxiong couldn’t or didn’t come down for this competition. However, this win was a big morale boost for us, considering the fact that we keep losing to KS and XcN. In fact, this is only the second time we actually beat KS(even though it isn’t their full team)! Zenith will definitely not get complacent over this minor win and will continue training harder than ever~ We hope to achieve more with this new team and our aims are as far and big as to win WCG and ESWC. Thanks to the minority out there who have been supporting us and we promise not to let you down!

The new zenith team will now comprise of ToFu, hyhy, |)412|<^^4G3, Bouncy, TruE, and Kirai. As of why adverska is not in the lineup anymore, is for me not to say and for you not to find out. Yes, yes, this may seem like the old micro where i replace shawn(you guys don’t have to keep repeating it) but look at it this way, we are looking for a suitable player which can match our playstyle and jovi and kirai are able to. We are slowly moving away from the BM team you guys know, so cut some slack on the comments ya~ Oh and for who is Kirai, is for me to know and for you to find out ^^

Thailand…the land of hot babes and good food. Man I can’t even explain how cheap and good the food is! Room service was like, 2SGD for omelette pork rice and food in food courts cost around SGD$1-5! Alright so the food was great, but so are the women! The layout of the competition was somewhat like WCG except a little less grand, but what was more or less the same were the hot chicks that were walking around everywhere. The models really ownss~ We had a fun time in thailand, definitely, even though we got a sad 3rd(as usual) for the competition. The organizer was REALLY good, bringing us around in a van to wherever we wanted to go. He brought us around to eat good food, and even brought us on a tour around thailand lol. Although the match against XcN was quite saddening(the replay says it all), we are now motivated to move up the ladder in the Asian ranking(to the first!!!) and will train harder to achieve that goal. The XcN and KS people were very friendly, and it was quite fun talking to them. Lol I traded my zenith shirt(he actually wanted my old, red&black jersey) for Lakuci’s XcN jacket woo! I’m gonna wear it to school everyday~

Kudos to everybody, we’ll be training hard and hopefully our efforts will pay off!

Seems like i will be going to hongkong for 6 days from monday to saturday. Won’t be able to make it for the newspring compy. haiz. Well at least i’ll be able to play the GG compy :). Oh well, all the best zenith in winning newspring! Do update the blog to let me know what’s going on, i’ll still be reading~ mike don’t lvl up too much in wow k.
